Third-party engineering review
We paid a third-party engineering firm to review the Cleaver using finite element analysis, or FEA.
The rack was reviewed for load cases up to 3.3G.
That means the structure was checked against forces much higher than its normal static weight. This helps us review how the rack handles bumps, braking, vibration, and off-road use.
The 3.3G review does not increase Honda’s 210 lb roof limit. It helps confirm that the Cleaver is built with strength and safety in mind.
